Section 5. Duties of the Church Clerk:
The Church Clerk shall keep accurate minutes of the business proceedings of the Church;
be responsible for the reception and dismissal of members; write and read resolutions
as needed during worship and funeral services in the case of the death of Church members;
send cards of sympathy and/or flowers to deceased members' families; keep a record of all
sick and shut-in members; compose and dispatch the annual letter to the convention; record
and any notes of historical interest given in any worship service of the Church. The Church
Clerk may be responsible for worship announcements and shall perform any other clerical duties
as requested by the Pastor in the absence of the Church Secretary. The Church Clerk shall use
ink of a permanent kind so that records may be legible in future years. The Church Clerk shall
deliver immediately to his/her successor all books, files, records, and such documents in his
or her possession.
